I'll tell you what, this last year has been.... interesting... to say the least!
There have been big changes in careers, as well as in personal goals. Oh! and we have a new addition to the family! Nope, not four-legged, or two-legged, but three-axi-ed! That's right! Say hello to our new bouncing baby STEPCRAFT M1000 #readyornotherewecome

All the way from Germany, and then hand assembled in the good ole U S of A, this little darling has already met and exceeded all expectations. We are so thrilled to be able to not only work larger pieces, but work them faster. This bad boy has an automatic tool changer that has cut down start-to-finish carve times and leaves more time for planning, finishing, and enjoying the process-- there is little that I enjoy less than recalculating and calibrating tool heights in the middle of jobs. I want to be able to rough and detail without having to babysit, and this has finally given us that ability.
Building an enclosure, with plexiglass shields and a primitive gantry for our #Festool Dust Extraction System, was one more factor that makes getting the job done with ease.

Did you see those drag chains, too?? That's right, man, fully enclosed wire harness, too!
Keeping the wires enclosed ensures their cleanliness, and ultimately, their longevity. Plus, it looks Badass.

Along the way, we've adopted several different methods of clamping our work pieces.
To date, the most recent, has also become our new favorite. Armor Tools has a line of clamps that have been phenomenal. (check them out here! https://armor-tool.com/) The In-Line Toggle Clamps have been a game changer and allow for us to secure the work piece low enough, so as not to sacrifice any vertical work area, without losing integrity in our clamp.
These have been a real game changer and I highly recommend them.
We're so excited for the future projects we have in store-- there are quite a few! Please keep following us on social media, Facebook, Instagram, and check out our Etsy Store, as well as our new store that is growing everyday here on our webpage. Thank you again for your interest, it makes us so happy to see others that are just as intrigued with the art of woodworking.
On that note, We're Finished for now!
